GUICCIARDINI QUILT

The study and the interpretation of the drawings on an antique quilt have given us the opportunity to organise an embriodery meeting in the Guicciardini's historic family house in Gargonza, a little village on the hills near Arezzo.

Linen panels dyed with madder and heather by Ildico Dornbach have been attached to a quilted pillow. Drawing inspiration from the patterns on the antique quilt , we have searched through its folds for small branches of roses and clothes decorations ; applied them to the panels and have given them a contempray interpretation.

Fil-mec's presence , with its wide range of prducts have been a valuable support to our creativity.
